Kailida completed its annual ISO 9001 surveillance audit in December 2025, with the certificate renewed for 2026. The audit covered design control, supplier evaluation, incoming inspection, welding and pre-assembly records.
What the auditor reviewed
The audit sampled three projects: a speed chain line for a connector manufacturer, a roller conveyor for a logistics customer and an oven project for a battery module line. For each project, the auditor reviewed the design input, the drawing release, the bill of materials, the inspection records and the pre-assembly run-in report.
The auditor also reviewed the calibration records for torque tools, verniers and the thermal probe used in oven testing. All were within the calibration interval.
Findings
No major non-conformities were raised. Two minor observations were recorded: a supplier evaluation form that had not been updated for one fastener supplier, and a pre-assembly record that was missing the noise reading for one conveyor section. Both were corrected within two weeks.
The auditor noted the run-in data package as a strength, because it links the current, noise and temperature readings to the specific line and the date of the test.
What changes for customers
The certificate is available on request. Customers who require a quality plan, an inspection and test plan or a material certificate can receive them with the project documentation. The audit findings and the corrective actions are recorded in the quality system and are available for customer review during an audit.
Supplier and calibration control
The audit also sampled the supplier evaluation records and the calibration register. Three fastening suppliers were reviewed, including the one with the outdated evaluation form. The corrective action was a revised questionnaire and a re-evaluation before the next order. The calibration register covered 46 instruments, including torque wrenches, vernier calipers, a thermal probe and a sound level meter; all were within interval.
The auditor asked how a non-conforming profile is handled. The procedure requires a quarantine tag, a disposition decision within 24 hours and a record of the rework or scrap. Two examples were sampled and both had complete records.
Customer documentation
Customers can request the certificate, the quality plan and the inspection and test plan for their project. The documents are issued in English and are linked to the project number. For customers with their own supplier quality requirements, the quality team can complete the customer's questionnaire and provide the evidence before the first shipment.
The two minor observations are closed. The revised supplier evaluation is in the quality system, and the pre-assembly record template now includes a mandatory noise reading for each conveyor section.
Next steps
The next surveillance audit is scheduled for December 2026. The quality team will continue the internal audit programme and the supplier evaluations through the year.
